Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and meticulous Hotel Night Auditor to join our dynamic team in Greenville, Alabama. This pivotal full-time role ensures the smooth operation of the hotel during the overnight hours, serving as the primary point of contact for guests and overseeing critical administrative tasks. The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing daily financial transactions, processing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling guest inquiries and requests, and preparing daily reports for management. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all end-of-day accounting procedures, including balancing and reconciling daily financial transactions and generating comprehensive reports.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accuracy in billing and guest information.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally during the overnight shift.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports for various departments, including revenue summaries, occupancy statistics, and other operational data.
- Monitor security systems and conduct regular property walks to ensure guest safety and property security.
- Process credit card authorizations, cash payments, and manage bank deposits as required.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked for the morning shift.
- Assist with reservations and future bookings when necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service, upholding the hotel's standards and reputation at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or Front Desk Agent in a hotel setting (1-2 years preferred).
- Strong mathematical and accounting skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in hotel property management systems (PMS), e.g., Opera, Fosse, OnQ, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- Familiarity with local Greenville, Alabama attractions and services.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with basic IT troubleshooting for common hotel systems.
