Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Execute repairs and replacements of defective parts, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and FAA regulations.
- Complete all necessary maintenance records, logbooks, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, operational procedures, and quality standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with aircraft technology and maintenance practices.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians, pilots, and other operational personnel.
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Skills
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification
- Proven experience with aircraft maintenance and repair procedures
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail and strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology or related field
- Experience with specific aircraft types relevant to our fleet (e.g., general aviation, regional jets, turboprops)
- Familiarity with computer-based maintenance tracking systems
- Prior experience in a Part 135 or Part 121 operational environment
- Certifications in specialized aviation maintenance areas (e.g., avionics, welding)
