Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ventilation systems, according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Perform system startup and shutdown procedures, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys and prepare work areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Connect system components, including refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and ductwork.
- Test newly installed HVAC systems for leaks, proper operation, and adherence to performance standards.
- Educate clients on system operation, maintenance tips, and warranty information.
- Adhere to all local codes, industry standards, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including time spent, materials used, and system diagnostics.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC Installer or similar role.
- Proficiency in installing various HVAC system components.
- Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE certification (North American Technician Excellence).
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in HVAC.
