Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight efficiently and safely using appropriate equipment or by hand.
- Sort and stage materials or products for shipping, receiving, or storage.
- Verify product quantities and report any discrepancies, damage, or quality issues.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, including sweeping, trash removal, and equipment cleaning.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Accurately complete paperwork and documentation as required for inventory and shipments.
- Lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift schedules.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking English).
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a physical labor or manufacturing role (though not required).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus, but not essential.
- Experience operating a pallet jack or forklift (certification not required, but a plus).
