Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot faults, and execute repairs on complex systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans and blueprints.
- Conduct precision measurement tasks using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other specialized instruments.
- Fabricate parts using welding, cutting, grinding, and other metalworking techniques as required.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs.
- Collaborate effectively with production operators, engineers, and other maintenance staff.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Skilled in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Knowledge of rigging and hoisting procedures
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and techniques
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal Millwright certification
- Experience with PLC systems and automated controls
- Previous experience in a heavy industrial or advanced manufacturing environment
