Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and other items to designated locations within Mount Pleasant and surrounding Brampton areas.
- Follow pre-scheduled routes and make timely deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Accurately verify contents of shipments against delivery manifests and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers, representing career.imfdirectgov positively.
- Ensure the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while on the road and during loading/unloading.
- Assist with loading and unloading packages as required.
Required Skills
- Valid G2 or G Class Driver's License (or equivalent provincial license)
- Clean driving record (abstract may be required upon offer)
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs
