As a Remote Shopify Developer, you will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to bring complex digital visions to life. Your day-to-day will involve custom theme development, implementing bespoke features, integrating third-party applications, and optimizing existing sites for speed, SEO, and user experience. We are looking for someone who is not just a coder, but a problem-solver; a developer who can translate client requirements into robust, scalable, and aesthetically pleasing Shopify solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript.
- Implement bespoke features and functionalities to meet client specifications.
- Integrate and configure third-party Shopify apps and APIs.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, performance, SEO, and conversion rates.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across all devices.
- Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX mockups into pixel-perfect Shopify templates.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality, bug-free deployments.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for existing Shopify websites.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify platform features, updates, and e-commerce trends.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Sass), and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Extensive experience with Shopify theme development and customization.
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs (Storefront, Admin).
- Experience with Git version control.
- Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus and headless Shopify implementations.
- Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, Alpine.js).
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques and A/B testing.
- Previous experience working in an agency or client-facing role.
- Certification in Shopify Development.
