Job Description

Are you a night owl looking for a dynamic role where your dedication ensures smooth operations? career.imfdirectgov is seeking a diligent and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our night shift team in Indian Springs Village, Alabama. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for individuals with no prior experience in laundry services who are eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a supportive environment. We believe in providing comprehensive training, ensuring you gain all the necessary skills to excel. As a Night Shift Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, which are foundational to our overall service quality. Your meticulous efforts directly impact our daily functions, preparing essential linens and items for the next day’s activities, making you an indispensable part of our operational backbone.

Working through the quiet yet productive hours of the night, you will be responsible for the efficient and thorough processing of various types of laundry. This involves a precise sorting process where items are separated by fabric type, color, and specific washing requirements to ensure optimal cleaning and fabric care. You will expertly operate industrial-grade washing and drying machines, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and established best practices for optimal performance and longevity. Following the wash cycles, your tasks will extend to meticulously folding, pressing, and organizing clean linens, towels, and uniforms, ensuring they meet our exacting standards for presentation and readiness. Attention to detail is absolutely paramount in this role; you will be entrusted with inspecting each item for any residual stains or damage before it re-enters circulation, guaranteeing that only pristine materials are made available.

Beyond the core laundry tasks, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laundry facility will also be a key aspect of your role. This includes regular cleaning of equipment and workspaces, proper disposal of waste, and rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and guidelines for handling cleaning agents and operating machinery. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an independent working setting, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation, yet values being part of a larger, essential team whose collective efforts contribute to our success. If you are dependable, possess the physical ability to handle the demands of the role including lifting, standing for extended periods, and bending, and are committed to contributing to a positive, efficient work environment, we strongly encourage you to apply. Join career.imfdirectgov and embark on a rewarding career path where your hard work is genuinely appreciated, and your professional development is actively supported.
