Key Responsibilities
- Sort laundry by fabric type, colour, and soil level, adhering to established procedures.
- Operate commercial washing and drying equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles to ensure optimal results and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Iron, press, fold, and neatly prepare a variety of linens, uniforms, and other fabric items.
- Inspect items for stains, damage, and wear, reporting any significant issues to supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe laundry area, including equipment and storage spaces.
- Manage inventory of laundry supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other general duties as required to support facility operations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all tasks are completed promptly and to a high standard.
