Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently within the warehouse environment during night shifts.
- Load and unload lorries, containers, and vans, ensuring all goods are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Accurately move, stack, and organise products and materials within designated storage areas.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety and efficiency.
- Assist with manual handling tasks and general warehouse duties when required.
- Work collaboratively with the night shift team to achieve operational targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Valid and current Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
- Proven experience as a Forklift Driver, ideally within a fast-paced warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
- Ability to work effectively and independently during night shifts.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Additional FLT licences (e.g., VNA, PPT).
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working in a regulated or high-volume distribution environment.
