Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Scrape, pre-rinse, wash, and sanitize all dishes, flatware, glassware, pots, and pans.
- Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and air-dried according to health and safety standards.
- Properly stack and store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dish room, including floors, sinks, and work surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly and transport them to appropriate disposal areas.
- Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks, including wiping down counters, cleaning ovens, and sweeping/mopping floors, as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene guidelines and regulations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or maintenance needs to management promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, cooks, and servers to ensure a continuous flow of clean dishes.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
