Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established menus and standards, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients, under the guidance of senior staff.
- Ensure all food service areas, including dining spaces, kitchens, and storage areas, are kept impeccably clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times, adhering to strict cleaning schedules.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, following all training and safety guidelines, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service, addressing inquiries, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and receiving deliveries to ensure adequate supplies are always available and stored correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support senior catering staff and managers with various tasks as required to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.
- Handle cash and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately, if required, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
- Set up and clear down dining areas for service, ensuring they are presentable and ready for use, including table settings and replenishment of condiments.
