Key Responsibilities
- Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently along designated routes.
- Collect and load various types of waste materials (residential, commercial, recycling) into collection vehicles.
- Ensure all waste is collected in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment; report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of collection equipment and vehicles.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public and team members.
- Lift, carry, and maneuver heavy waste containers and materials throughout the workday.
- Assist in the proper disposal of collected waste at designated facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, if required.
