Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and efficient Store Receiving Associate to join our team in Cottonwood, Alabama. As a vital member of our store operations, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, processing, and distribution of merchandise. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and unpack incoming merchandise and shipments.
- Verify product quantities against invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect merchandise for damages or discrepancies and report any issues promptly.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area, ensuring it is clean, safe, and free of clutter.
- Label, tag, and sort merchandise efficiently for storage or distribution to the sales floor.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with sales associates and management to ensure timely product availability.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other store duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and inventory management.
- Good verbal communication skills.
