We are immediately seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Drywall Installer to join our dynamic team in Griffintown, Montreal. Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets with precision on walls and ceilings.
- Perform taping, mudding, and sanding to achieve smooth, seamless finishes.
- Repair and patch existing drywall, matching textures and finishes.
- Install corner beads, metal studs, and furring channels as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine layout and dimensions.
- Safely operate various hand and power tools specific to drywall installation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and project managers.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and local building codes.
- Communicate any issues or potential delays to the site supervisor promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in drywall installation, taping, and finishing
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in drywall work
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install drywall panels
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality finishes
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Montreal
- Adherence to all workplace safety procedures and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in drywall installation or a related trade
- Valid construction safety certifications (e.g., ASP Construction Card)
- Fluency in both English and French (bilingualism)
