As a Freight Unloader on our night shift, you will be a critical part of our operations, responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently unload incoming freight from trucks and containers.
- Sort and stack products neatly onto pallets according to established procedures.
- Verify received goods against manifests or packing lists for accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment after training (if applicable) to move freight within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding freight status and any issues.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including general cleanup and organization.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Strong work ethic and reliability, especially for night shift schedules.
- Basic understanding of safety principles.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or physically demanding role (not required, but a plus).
