Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided Amazon-branded delivery vehicle.
- Efficiently load, unload, and deliver packages to residential and commercial customers.
- Follow designated routes and schedules, adapting to real-time traffic and delivery conditions.
- Utilize handheld delivery technology to manage routes, track packages, and communicate with dispatch.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety standards, prioritizing personal and public safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service during every delivery interaction.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle and workspace.
- Work collaboratively with the dispatch team to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely deliveries.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 2 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 70 lbs with assistance.
- Capacity to get in and out of a van multiple times throughout the day.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with smartphone technology and GPS navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery driving role (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DoorDash, Uber Eats).
- Familiarity with the Enterprise, Alabama area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
