Job Description
career.imfdirectgov is seeking an exceptional Remote UX/UI Designer to shape digital experiences for critical government services, directly impacting citizens. You will translate complex requirements into elegant, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces for public portals and internal tools. We seek a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and a passion for intuitive digital products. Collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders, you’ll guide projects from concept to implementation, ensuring cohesive user experience. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, define personas, and create user journey maps to inform design decisions.
- Design wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for various platforms (web, mobile).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides for consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and content teams to deliver design solutions.
- Perform usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on data-driven insights.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and best practices.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, articulating design choices clearly.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and best practices in UX/UI design and accessibility.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in leading design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- A strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design process, problem-solving, and impactful deliverables.
- Expertise in user-centered design (UCD) principles and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
- Proven experience with responsive design for diverse web and mobile applications.
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
