Key Responsibilities
- Operate a box truck safely and efficiently for local deliveries and pickups.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Assist with warehouse duties or other tasks as needed during downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid Class D driver's license (or equivalent, for non-CDL box trucks).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Basic communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
