Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport documents, packages, and other items to designated locations within scheduled timeframes.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation.
- Handle items with care, ensuring their security and integrity during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and recipients regarding delivery status and any unforeseen issues.
- Represent career.imfdirectgov professionally and courteously at all times.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines while navigating local traffic efficiently.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good operating condition of the assigned vehicle.
Required Skills
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3-5 years
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and mapping applications
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a professional delivery or courier role
- Familiarity with the Anaheim and surrounding Orange County area roadways
- High School Diploma or equivalent
